Inspiration
Red Summer House is a textiles label and online store selling ethicallysourced products such as designer table runners and eco-friendly tote bags. It was dreamt up by Keri Andersen on a sunny afternoon while on holiday in southern Sweden. In Red Summer House, Keri seeks to capture the essence of the Scandinavian holiday cottage and share it with lovers of great design and the good life. It is a life of ease and long days (shoes optional).
Keri is a maker, designer and collector of textiles-based art and objects from around the world. She is inspired by her experiences travelling and living in Southeast Asia, India, Japan, Sweden, and the Baltics.
Design & Make
Keri designs a product, sources the finest quality materials and collaborates with expert makers in Australia and Vietnam. She is also an accomplished maker in her own right.
Our products are made in small runs, using carefully sourced sustainable and ethical fabrics, for you to use and admire in your home.This is inclusive of cosy cushions that enhance the ambience of your lounge and table runners that add life to your dining room. Many of our designs are multi-purpose, most won't be repeated, and items will appear as we cross paths with more great ideas, inspiring materials, and develop new skills.
At Red Summer House we love to work with linen - it's a fibre like no other. Grown pesticide free - cultivated with sunlight and rain - it produces zero waste. Keri has designed a wide range of attractive pieces using sustainable resources. That's everything from cushions, project bags, and table runners to aprons, tea towels, and tote bags.
We are also happy with blending in cotton with our linen - strong and tactile cotton canvas for some of our eco-friendly tote bags and baskets for storage as well as some of our embroidered cushions.
